Here Goes …
Hi everybody and welcome to my internet marketing / web design blog. This is my first ever entry into the blogging world so I’m hoping I don’t tread on too many toes as the subject I write about can either lead me to great excitement when I see people get it right and extreme moments of disbelief and wanting to bang my head against a wall when I see some very big brands get it wrong.
I’m also really passionate about small businesses. It’s really demoralising to see a business not realise their full potential online and just amble along oblivious to the benefits they’re missing out on or the costly mistakes they’re making. Internet marketing and good web design is now on such a level playing field that some businesses don’t know they could be taking customers from right under the noses of the big high street and internet brands, for example Christmas 2007 saw one of the websites I manage for a small firm nestled right in-between the likes of Amazon and WH Smiths on Google for Christmas present related search phrases which brought in an additional 3000+ visitors to the site over the space of 6 weeks in the lead up to Christmas. Not bad for an extra 4 pages I loaded onto the site at the start of November.
Hopefully the next entry will give you a taste of what it’s all about and give you a few ideas to get you started on thinking about pushing your website forward.
