Ever since I was a young lad I’ve always had a creative streak in me, I’d either be drawing, painting, taking photo’s or building things, the whole thought of creating something from scratch and having a finished article is what I’ve always really enjoyed doing, even more rewarding when you get a positive reaction from people.

The whole web design thing for me started way back in 1998 when I picked up a book on HTML, started having a play and I built a few basic web pages on the space my ISP had provided, then the entrepreneurial side kicked in and I thought I should be doing this for other people.

I had a go at starting up as a web designer back in 2000, not great timing as a couple of months down the line the internet bubble burst. I still had the odd job come in here and there but not enough to make a living from, so back down to the job centre it was. To cut a long story short I ended up with two job offers, one to go back into engineering where I’d been for the past 14 years or another offer to work for a company building pet housing who took an interest in my IT skills.

The lure of working on computers all day with a bit of web design thrown in was too bigger temptation although 6 years down the line it’s now turned into all internet marketing and web design and barely any IT work (phew!!!), why? Because this is what’s making the company the most money along with my never failing enthusiasm to learn more about anything involving the internet.

Where am I now? Here, with Tn2networks. After many tough years with my nose buried in internet marketing and web design books, building more private websites sometimes working and studying for 14-16hrs a day I’ve decided to spread my wings further and try to make a difference for other companies who are new to the idea of having a successful website and what it takes to get there.
